Bio

Tanna Samone Hall is a San Francisco born, Oakland raised Storyteller, Comedian, Writer, Educator and Artist. She's hosted The Moth SF and has told stories at Storyslam Oakland, The Moth SF,  Don Reed's Redwood Nights: Storytelling Under the Stars. She is a Conundrum Chronicles winner from The Marsh SF. She is the producer and host of Comedy Q Bay Area. She has also written for Oakland Voices.

She is an educator at the same school she once attended as a student. She is also a graduate of San Francisco State University as an art major with an emphasis in painting. She studied her last year of college at the Accademia Di Belle Arti, a Firenze, Italia.

Her stories derive from growing up in the Bay Area as a biracial lesbian. She has served her community as a lifeguard, Lieutenant Fire Fighter, and P.E. teacher. It is no wonder she is a fan of whistles and whistleblowers. With her background in Emergency Medical services and Education she has lots of experience applying band-aids, both literally and metaphorically. She believes that the root of many emergencies stem from unaddressed societal issues. Her desire to keep contributing to her community is what has led her to produce in these various mediums.
